My name is John Kennedy and I’m the founding partner of the firm. I was raised and born here in New Haven, Connecticut. I attended Yale University and graduated in 1975. And I attended University of Connecticut Law School and graduated in 1978. I’ve been practicing law for 48 years. I knew I wanted to get into the legal field because I wanted to try to help people change the world. And I tried to do a little bit every day to make things a little better for the people of Connecticut and New Haven. My opinion on law really hasn’t changed that much since I’ve started. The first three rules are preparation, preparation, and preparation. So, I founded the firm back in 1988. I saw an opportunity to try to create a firm that was more of a boutique firm that would try to handle cases more effectively and efficiently to try to help people in a way that I could do it my own way. The most rewarding thing for me in my profession is what we’ve built here at Kennedy Johnson. We have a family both in terms of who the lawyers are. Two of my sons are in the practice. Other people who feel like sons and daughters are in the practice. I think that’s been the most rewarding part of the experience. We are going to treat you like the family that we are and we’re going to take care of your every need to the best of our ability and try to get you the best result possible. Keeping in mind what you want to do as well as what we think you should do.
