My name is Brendan Nelligan and I’m a partner at Kennedy, Johnson, Schwab & Roberge. I’ve been practicing law since 2013. I was an associate for many years and became a partner a number of years ago. I attended Providence College in Rhode Island and went on to study law at the University of Connecticut School of Law. I decided to get in the legal field. My father was actually an attorney. Watching him in his career and he seemed to enjoy it. It was something that interested me and so I ultimately decided that as I progressed through undergrad that law school was something I wanted to explore and guess I’m here today. I think that my approach to practicing law really comes from making sure the client is informed of all their legal options and understands what their options are and we recognize particularly in what we do that people come to us during very difficult times in their lives. It’s very important that all clients understand what their options are, what the legal process will mean for them both in the short term, in the immediate term as well as throughout the pendency of a case. I think that clients should work with KJSR because of the way we approach cases, we approach them very collaboratively. And one of the things that I really enjoy about working here and working with the attorneys here is if it’s a case that comes into the office, it becomes the firm’s case. It’s not limited to one lawyer or one associate. And I think one of the strengths that we have collectively is our depth of experience. You know, we have lawyers who have been here 40 plus years as well as younger attorneys as well. And I think that diversity of perspective really gives us a tremendous advantage in determining what potential options are for a case, different strategies, and I feel like we give a very personalized and very individual approach to cases that I think is a tremendous advantage and is evidenced by our results.
