Shelby L. Murphy was born and raised in Connecticut. She graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in legal studies and minor in English. Ms. Murphy attended Quinnipiac University School of Law as a part-time student between 2015 and 2019, during which time she concentrated her studies in health law. She received her Juris Doctor and Health Law Certificate with Honors in May 2019.
Ms. Murphy first started working in the legal field in 2012 as a paralegal at a general practice law firm. She began working at Kennedy, Johnson, Schwab & Roberge, LLC in September of 2014 as an undergraduate legal intern. Post-graduation, Ms. Murphy continued working with the firm as a legal assistant and subsequently as a law clerk throughout her law school career. While a law student, Ms. Murphy balanced her academic studies while working full time and gaining experience handling personal injury cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, worker's compensation, and medical malpractice matters. She officially joined Kennedy, Johnson, Schwab & Roberge, LLC as an associate in November 2019.
Ms. Murphy is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut. She is an active member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, as well as, the Connecticut Bar Association and New Haven County Bar Association
