Running stop sign results in car crash in Connecticut

Motor vehicle accidents involving cars are very common in and around New Haven, Connecticut. A number of innocent people become victims of car accidents every year. The negligence and recklessness of car drivers contribute to these fatalities.

Recently, two people sustained injuries in a motor vehicle accident involving two cars in Bridgeport, Connecticut. According to the police, the two-car crash occurred at an intersection. One of the cars reportedly had run the stop signal and collided with the other.

According to the police, both the drivers were injured in the accident. Reportedly, one driver was stuck inside the vehicle after the crash and was extricated by firefighters. Authorities transported both drivers to a hospital. Reports say that one of them was in critical condition, while the other driver’s condition was stated to be stable. The police have not yet released the identity of the victims.

Running a stop sign is a gross violation of traffic rules. It poses a grave threat to road safety. This negligent conduct, particularly at busy intersections, may cause a lot of damage. Speeding at intersections and on freeways may cause serious injuries or even death.

Apart from not paying attention to stop signs, there are also a number of traffic violations that may result in devastating car accidents. Drunk driving, speeding and texting while driving also commonly cause fatal accidents. Car drivers should be very diligent while behind the wheel.
