Naugatuck auto accident leaves one seriously injured

To most folks in New Haven, Connecticut, the idea of road rules is only connected with the actual driving of one’s vehicle on public roads. Sticking to the speed limit, driving within one’s lane and stopping at traffic lights, these are usually thought of norms during driving. Nonetheless, care is also required, no matter where the vehicle is being operated. Often, the most horrific car accidents can happen on one’s own street, which usually are the most frequently navigated.

In a recent incident in Naugatuck, Connecticut, a motorcyclist was critically injured in a collision with an automobile at an intersection on Route 63. According to the police, the driver of the automobile, however, was not seriously injured. The accident apparently occurred when the car was making a left turn onto Route 63, which needed to be closed for some time after the accident. Neither the car nor the motorcycle had any passengers.

No details were made public as to who might be at fault for the accident, but the incident illustrates some common driving problems. The car involved in the accident was making a left turn. This usually requires carefully observing movement on the road, in the event there is no traffic light at the intersection. Again, if there is a traffic light, then it is possible that either the motorcyclist or the car’s driver failed to observe the light accurately.

Regardless of how the crash unfolded, the outcome is that two people are now injured, with one of them now in the hospital. The police investigation may reveal who the negligent party was, which will help determine whether any resultant medical expenses can be recompensed through either person’s liability insurance. Nevertheless, this does not alter the fact that more careful observance of road rules might have helped avoid the accident altogether.
