Although distracted driving is the leading cause of car accidents in U.S., there are other various causes of accidents including, but not limited to, drunk driving, driving while texting, weather related accidents and more.

Recently, a car hit three pedestrians in Connecticut, sending them all to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Witnesses say that the car crashed into two women and one young boy. dragging all three nearly fifty feet. The driver was subsequently arrested by Connecticut police.

Car accidents have become an increasing problem in the USA. In 2011 alone, 32,479 fatal car accidents were reported nationwide. The fatalities increased to 33,561 in 2012, a rise of 3.3 percent.
