Connecticut artist injured in car crash

With all the information available about the dangers of distracted driving or drinking and driving, it is easy to overlook that the vast majority of motorists take extreme caution when traveling. They carefully stow their cell phone so it is not a temptation while following all traffic rules and remaining vigilant at all times. However, even the most careful of drivers cannot anticipate the actions of the other motorists they encounter, which could leave them injured and worried about their financial future. One such car crash in Connecticut has left two men and a juvenile injured.

In late August, a 44-year-old known for being an artist was traveling on a Connecticut road with a juvenile as a passenger. As he went around a curve, a driver coming in the opposite direction crossed the center line. As a result, the cars crashed into one another, injuring both drivers and a passenger in the artist's car.

The first driver is currently in the hospital suffering from serious injuries. His condition has recently improved from critical to severe, meaning he still has a long road toward recovery. The second driver is also listed in serious condition. The current condition of the juvenile is unknown.

The aftermath of even a minor car crash can often be a hassle to deal with, but problems are compounded when there are serious injuries involved. The road to recovery will likely be a long one, filled with mounting medical bills and possibly lost wages as a result of time missed from work while hospitalized or recovering. In order to help alleviate these stresses, the first driver has the option of filing a civil case in a Connecticut court. A ruling in his favor could provide funds for any expenses resulting from the accident, allowing him to focus on his recovery as opposed to medical bills.
