2 Connecticut men killed in fatal car accident

Thursday July 25, 2013

Tragedy has struck a community, as it was reported that two brothers were recently killed in a car accident. Connecticut police were called to the scene of the fatal car accident just after 4 a.m. When they arrived, they saw that a vehicle had left the roadway.

The brothers, ages 16 and 18 were pronounced dead by rescue officials at the scene of the accident. Another passenger, a 20-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver was not hurt in the accident. However, he was taken to an area hospital to be evaluated.

Police have not released many details on the cause of this accident. They are continuing to investigate and have not stated when they will be able to issue their final report. It is also unclear whether criminal charges are expected to be filed.

The grief in losing children in a fatal car accident is something that cannot be measured. The pain and anguish that will be suffered by the family will continue for many years. However, for these family members, life must carry forward. In order to best proceed with honoring their lost loved ones, while also ensuring that the family receives the assistance they need in coping with their loss, the family may be able to seek financial assistance through the filing of a wrongful death action in a Connecticut civil court. Although this action will not bring back these two young men, it will at least ensure that the family has some financial security as they attempt to pick up the pieces and move forward with their own lives.
